First Post

First, I am now about 24 weeks pregnant with a little nameless baby girl who I call Baby Be-Bop. The blog spelling of her name is Bee Bop because we used to keep bees until they all kept dying, which is a story for another time. I say Be-Bop because she moves around a lot now, be-bopping around like there is a carnival or roller coaster in my abdomen.
Anyway, we conceived on Halloween 2008 most likely, though I know it can take days for the particulars to come together. But that was the week I let the battery go dead on my BBT, tried to take it out, and then broke the thermometer. I thought I could guess at my ovulation date but I was sloppy with it. So here we are!
Not that we didn't want her, I was just trying to wait for a little more time, but we're thrilled as heck to have her. Of course, if my hubby could have had his way we'd already have a family but I know we were way too immature and reckless for that in days past. Believe me, we were.
I am doing this as a way to chronicle my thoughts and goings on during this pregnancy though I guess I'm starting a little late. I'll have to go back and cover things from the past 5 months with my foggy, pregnant brain before they disappear!
I love her ultrasound picture above, a very dramatic pose.
I'm neither young, nor old, not that it matters. I'm still a college student though not a traditional one as I do it all online. Hubby is self-employed and he's a sweetheart.
And, no, Darla is not my real name.
